Full Installation | Version Upgrade | Service Pack | Update | Soft Licensing



Full Installation:

Our full installations include unpacking of files supplied in a compressed form, copying them to suitable locations and the user's preferences, providing information about the program to the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows versions 7, 8, 8.1, or 10. A valid Innovyze license is required to install our software and its suite applications will be installed if your license is applicable.
Operations performed during our full software installations include creations or modifications of the following:

  • Shared and non-shared program files (Program Files\Common Files\Innovyze Shared  and Program Files\[Product Name]\ respectively)
  • Folders/directories (Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Innovyze\Temp\[Working Folder Name)
  • Windows registry entries (HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Innovyze\)
  • Configuration file entries (Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Innovyze\[Product File Name] and Program Files\[Product Name]\Bin\[Product File Name])
  • Desktop and program folder shortcuts (Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Innovyze)

Version Upgrade:

Our upgrade is cumulative, which means it includes the contents of all its predecessors and it is a collection of updates, service packs, fixes and/or enhancements to a software program delivered in the form of a single executable (.exe file) package.  Innovyze releases an upgrade when  a substantial setup architecture has been made due to compatibility with future operating systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and MapObjects or additional features and significant enhancements have been updated.
Installing our upgrade is easier and less error-prone than installing a high number of updates individually because it includes previously released performance and stability updates and upgrades of our software.
Once you download an upgrade for the latest version of your product, you just need a few clicks to begin the installation and the rest of the process is automatic with your valid Innovyze license. All Suite and Executive Suite versions will be upgraded if your license is applicable and if you have already installed them previously.

Service Pack:

Our service pack is cumulative, which means it includes the contents of all its predecessors and it is a collection of updates, service packs, and fixes to a software program delivered in the form of a single executable (.exe file) package.  Innovyze releases a service pack when the number of individual updates to a given program reaches a certain limit or the number of program files that have been updated reaches a certain limit. Installing our service pack is easier and less error-prone than installing a high number of updates individually because it includes previously released performance and stability updates of our software.
Once you download a service pack for your version, you just need a few clicks to begin the installation and the rest of the process is automatic with your valid Innovyze license. All Suite and Executive Suite versions will be updated if your license is applicable and if you have already installed them previously.

Soft Licensing:

We are now able to offer all customers the opportunity to use a software based "key" to authenticate their use of InfoWorks or InfoNet rather than using a hardware lock (Dongle).
